Story Design for Business
Day-long workshops on story design in London, England for entrepreneurs, change-makers, intrapreneurs, innovators and mavericks.
What: story design for business
where: EIGHT MEMBERS CLUB - MOORGATE - LONDON EC2
when: NEXT DATE TO BE CONFIRMED
Story is a buzzword it's hard to avoid: and with good reason. I am continually amazed at how concrete commercial stories propel commercial success. Relevant, vivid stories about the impact your business or organisation makes on the world - or the delight it creates for the individuals you serve - go a long way to creating clarity, credibility and commercial momentum.
Classic techniques like story spine and story mountain aren't sufficient for entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, innovators and designers. This workshop will introduce storyFORMing, an interactive - and remarkably effective - way to surface the ingredients of business stories, that applies whether you're at the earliest stage of your startup....or evaluating impact after a project finishes.
The course will help you to:
- Define your project or business's core story
- Determine what questions to ask your customers and prospects
- Practice introducing your business
How Do I Know This Course is For Me?
- want to bring "story" into your firm or organisation in a rigorous, intelligent manner?
- seek to clarify your business story before embarking on a crowdfunding campaign, investment rounds or expensive branding/design services?
- feel frustrated because designers or PR agencies over-simplify what you do or stand for?
If you've answered "Yes" to any of these, this course is for you.
This course probably isn't for you if you're:
- a traditional marketer looking for emotional manipulation techniques, or
- interested in anecdotes, rather than change.
